Dear Montezuma and Dolores Counties,
The Piñon Project Family Resource Center is committed to providing assistance to residents of Montezuma and Dolores Counties who are in need of a variety of supports. In order to keep supporting our community during the COVID-19 situation, we are taking steps to keep our staff, volunteers, participants, and the community at large safe and help prevent the spread of the virus. In order to follow social distancing recommendations from CDC and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, we are changing our operations as follows:
- As of today, March 17th all parenting programs will be developed into virtual format: Strengthening Families Program, Incredible Years Basic and Infant and Fatherhood Program.
- As of today March 17th all in home visits will be suspended, instead; Early Childhood staff will be available to provide support via phone and video conferencing as often as families request.
- As of today March 17th Emergency Services will continue to work with families practicing 6 feet social distancing. If you are ill please do not come to the office; if your preference is phone conference, accommodations will be available. The Piñon Project Family Resource Center is committed to ensuring families have the resources they need during this challenging time.
- As of today March 17th Successful Families will support families virtually, through phone messages and life skill support.
- As of today March 17th all youth programs will be working virtually with all youth and seeking information on needs and gaps.
- As this is an ever changing situation please know we will provide regular updates to our Facebook page and website as well as invitation to the varied programs that will be provided virtually.
- We will have staff available to answer phones and direct you or your loved ones to appropriate community resources; including all resources Piñon has available.
